Accessibility Statement
ContractCare is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. This page explains the standard we aim for, what we have done so far, what still needs work, and how to tell us if something isn't working for you.
1. Our commitment
As a disability-focused, family-led provider, we believe everyone has the right to easily find and understand information about our services. Accessibility is an ongoing priority for us, not a one-off project. We review the site as it changes and fix problems as we find them.
2. Standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We have run an initial automated check of the site against these guidelines. A full manual audit, including testing with screen readers, is in progress.
Until that audit is complete, we do not claim full conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA. We will update this page with our conformance status once the audit is finished.
3. Accessibility features
The site currently includes:
a "Skip to main content" link
keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator
text that can be resized using your browser's zoom
descriptive link text
alternative text for meaningful images
labelled form fields
clear, plain-English content
the page language set to Australian English, so screen readers pronounce content correctly
4. Known limitations
We know about the following issues and are working to fix them:
Page structure: some pages do not yet have a main content landmark, and on some pages heading levels skip a level. Both can make it harder for screen-reader users to move around a page.
We are working to resolve these issues and will confirm timeframes for each by the end of 2026. Our full audit may identify further issues, and we will list them here as we find them.
5. Requesting an alternative format
If you can't access any content on this site, we can provide it another way. Options include large print, plain text, Easy Read, or a phone call where we explain the information to you. Just ask us using the contact details below.
6. Feedback and contact
If you find something on this site that's hard to use, please tell us. Your feedback helps us fix it.
